The robe fragments from a chaofu finely woven with sinuous four- 307
clawed dragons in typical late Ming style on a cloud pattern ground;
the blue silk ‘dragon’ panel of half-moon shape, with gold thread
four-clawed dragons among wispy clouds and Buddhist emblems;
the velvet altar frontal with a front-facing Ming style four-clawed 307
