within a confronting double dragon and phoenix border; a pebble
form snuff bottle carved with a scholar and boy attendant amongst
pine, stopper; and a white and russet jade ‘ram’ group. The plaque

A JADE ‘CHILONG’ BELT BUCKLE AND A PLAQUE
18th/19th century
The buckle carved in openwork relief with a typical striding chilong
confronting a dragon head terminal; the oval plaque carved with a
caparisoned elephant within the Eight Buddhist emblems, set within
a hardwood openwork frame and stand. The buckle 12.7cm (5in)
long. (3).
