The Daoist figure seated on an elaborate throne, with dragon head
terminals and carved panels of mythical beasts, supported on a
raised plinth, wearing long, flowing robes, secured at the waist with
a broad belt, grasped in his right hand, the left hand resting upon his
knee, the face and hands detailed in gilt. 35.5cm (14in) high.

Standing four-square on a raised pedestal base, supporting a dish-
form incense stick holder on a tall cylindrical stem, the beast wearing
an elaborate saddle cloth and trappings, a foreign merchant standing
to one side. 40cm (15.3/4in) high.
