A FINELY CARVED WHITE JADE TABLE SCREEN
QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795)
The thick plaque is fnely and deeply carved on one side with three
immortals traversing a mountainous path, above two attendants
crossing a bridge below, beside a waterfall and amidst gnarled pine
trees and a pavilion in the distance. The other side is carved with a
deer lowering its head to drink from a stream beneath another deer
standing on a cliff above. The stone is of white color with some pale
russet and opaque white inclusions.
