                                                                              The artist is recorded by E.A.Wrangham, The
                                                                              Index of Inro Artists, Alnwick, Northumberland,
                                                                              Harehope Publications, 1995, p.239.
                                                                              Wrangham surmises that the artist is perhaps
                                                                              linked to the Kajikawa School, due perhaps to
                                                                              Shigeyoshi’s frequent use of a red pot seal with
                                                                              his signature, as is seen in this presented lot.
