Of barrel-shaped ovoid form, the top set with a
circular burr wood panel framed by a spreading
stepped and beaded frame, supported on six
shaped elongated and curved openwork frames,
rising from an inverted beaded circular foot on
six short supports.

Compare with a related pair of huanghuali barrel-
shaped stools, 18th century, which was acquired
