A WHITE JADE CARVING OF A GOOSE
QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY
The pebble is carved in round as a goose with its feet tucked
underneath and the head turned back over its body, grasping a
leafy stalk of millet in its beak. The white stone has a pale celadon
tone and russet highlights on the millet.
