         A BRONZE RITUAL TRIPOD WINE VESSEL, JUE           ࠊᓒᕪ   㤎㘍྆Ⅹḍ
         LATE SHANG DYNASTY, 12TH-11TH CENTURY BC
         The vessel is raised on three blade-form supports, and the sides are   ϝᬝ
         finely cast with two taotie masks divided by narrow flanges against   ᥼࣡卻         卼
         a leiwen ground, one mask is further divided by a flange, while the   ⧲֬⁞厁ᱡ‰Ⴋࢷ೥           卿⡥⡙卿    ჺջݣ⻦
         other divided by the handle emerging from a bovine mask with a   ) + -PXFOUIBM卿⤔⽚
         two-character inscription hui gui cast underneath. A pair of posts
         with waisted caps decorated with a band of cloud whorls below   ൣ⿫
         double raised bands rise from the mouth rim. The bronze has a   3PHFS ,FWFSOF卿ٳᘹ卿Ƕ'JOF BOE 3BSF $IJOFTF 8PSLT PG "SU
         mottled, milky green patina with malachite encrustation.
