A LARGE CHINESE EXPORT 'US FLAG-SHIP MAN-OF-WAR' A VERY RARE CHINESE EXPORT TEAPOT AND COVER WITH
MUG THE AMERICAN GREAT SEAL

The impressive cylindrical mug decorated in opaque 'famille rose' The cylindrical teapot decorated with the Great Seal of the United
enamels with an Eight-star American flag on a man-of-war ship, the States, the open wing eagle with a vertical striped shield body, the
gilt rim set off by a blue enamel and egg-and-dart rim, double strap ribbon inscribed 'E Pluribus Unum' under a ring of stars framed by the
handle. rays of the sun, the opposite side monogrammed 'CVL' under a blue
5 1/3in (14cm) high; 4 1/4in (11cm) diam border, the vessel fitted with a long spout and double-strapped handle,
the blue border bands repeated near the rim and the vessel and cover,
$5,000 - 7,000 mounted with a gilt acorn finial.
5 7/8in (15cm) high, overall; 10in (25.4cm) across (2).
