           A LARGE PAIR OF CHINESE IMARI DISHES              A PAIR OF CELADON 'CADOGAN' TEAPOTS
           1700-1730                                         18th-19th century
           Each painted in underglaze blue, iron red and gilt with a central octofoil  Each with slender spout and loop handle, the peach-form body
           flowerhead issuing three branches with stylized lotus, hibiscus and   decorated with leafy stems in relief with underglaze-blue and copper-
           chrysanthemum and smaller peony heads that rise to the cavetto   red splashes, the short foot splayed, glazed overall in translucent
           below a wide band of composite flowerheads at the everted rim, the   celadon pooling to darker tones at recess areas. (2)
           reverse with two loosely painted prunus branches. (2)  5 1/2in (14.2cm) and 5 5/16in (13.5cm) high
