A BROWN-GROUND EMBROIDERED SILK 'DRAGON' ROBE, Provenance:
JIFU Gift from Princess Der-ling to Elsie Jean Cade, who traveled with her
Guangxu period husband to Beijing, in 1911 or 1912. Her husband, Lt. Colonel William
The brightly decorated robe stitched in gold thread with nine five-claw T. Cade Jr, was in the Army Medical Corp as a surgeon. Lt. Colonel and

ground embroidered with dragon, bats and clouds, in the Qing Court
Collection and now in the Palace Museum, Beijing, is illustrated on
the museum's website, reference number 故00042587, described as
Jiaqing period.
