A WHITE JADE ‘MONKEY’ GROUP
QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY
well worked in the form of a seated monkey with both hands holding a peach to
its right ear, a smaller monkey clambering beside holding a leafy lingzhi stem, both
detailed with a wrinkled forehead and finely incised hairs along the spine, the stone of
an even greyish-white colour with light brown highlights
