sturdily potted with a robust ovoid body rising from a short
spreading foot to a gently tapering neck and lipped mouthrim,
the exterior freely painted in black over the even white slip with
a dense frieze of four lobed cartouches, each enclosing a large
blooming floral blossom wreathed by foliage, interrupted by
scrolling motifs and a flower, above a striated band encircling
the foot, all below two bands detailed with stylised fish-shaped
motifs and classic scrollwork, the interior glazed black and
splashed with russet
