A LARGE FRAMED JAPANESE TEXTILE
Meiji (1868-1912) or Taisho (1912-1926) era, early 20th century
Finely embroidered in multi-colored silk with a scene of three Chinese
sages in conversation under a large plantain tree, the figures reading
a scroll, standing next to a crane and holding a basket of auspicious
symbols, and set into a wood frame.
