A YELLOW AND RUSSET JADE SNUFF BOTTLE
1780-1850
Well-hollowed, the ovoid bottle standing on a wide foot ring, utilizing
the natural opaque russet skin in the attractive yellow jade, carved
in relief on both sides depicting a peaceful countryside scene with a
boy riding a buffalo along a river band, and another figure seated in a
house elevated from water.

A CARVED YELLOW AND BLACK JADE SNUFF BOTTLE
1800-1880
Of elongated ovoid form, one side carved in low relief with a verdant
garden with chrysanthemums and lingzhi rising from rocks under a
tall blooming plum tree, the reverse of mostly black and brown shade
from natural inclusions, with a later inscribed poem by the Emperor
Qianlong.

The circular bottle with a wide mouth, thin lip, carved in relief around
the sides with birds and dense branches with blooming plum flowers,
the yellow metal cast with a gold color tinge.
