Depicting a European lady and gentleman in a garden near a Painted at the center in iron-red, gilt, silver, green and blue enamel

by Nicolas de Larmessin II (c.1638-1694), after a painting by Nicolas A RARE LARGE BLUE AND WHITE DUTCH-MARKET ‘GRAVEN
Lancret (1690-1743), taken from a fable of La Fontaine, which is AND GRONHARD’ ARMORIAL DISH
directly inspired by a story written by the Queen of Navarre, circa 1750-1760
1755. Painted at the center with a large asymmetric rocaille decorated coat
of arms with bear and stars below peony and scrolling reserved on a
dense cell ground, with a further plain cell band at the border.
