AN ENAMELLED ‘DRAGON AND PHOENIX’ FLAMBE GLAZED
VASE
Xuande mark, Late Qing/Republic Period
The heavily potted vase with an ovoid body tapering to a cylindrical
neck, covered with a rich streaked glaze of dark crushed-strawberry
red, colourfully enamelled with a phoenix and a sinuous dragons, rising
from rockwork amidst flames and wispy clouds, the base with a four-
character Xuande mark.
45.5cm (17 7/8in) high.
