FLOWERS’ JAR
Kangxi six-character mark and of the period
The baluster body finely painted with a
long-tailed bird perched upon rockwork
amongst sprays of peony and bamboo, the
shoulder with further floral sprigs and a lappet
border; together with a ‘klapmuts’ dish with
scholars amongst a rocky landscape and a
‘kraakporselein’ bowl with flying horses.
The jar: 22cm (6 5/8in) high (3).

POT
Late Ming Dynasty
The first with a subtly lobed body, with an
overhead handle and S-shaped spout, the
domed lid with a branch finial, boldly painted
with alternating panels of floral designs and
figural scenes; the second of similar form, but
blue-glazed and decorated with floral sprigs.
Each approx. 19cm (7 1/2in) high (4).

The well boldly painted with scholars standing
conversing in a landscape, the flaring rim with
panels of fruiting branches and floral sprays.
