           The table with a large single-panel top
           set above thick plain-shaped aprons and
           spandrels butted into straight legs, raised
           on straight legs of rounded section joined by
           pairs of stretchers.

           SQUARE TABLE, BANZHUO
           19th century
           The table with the top burlwood panels set
           within the wide, square frame with double-
           reeded edge, the whole raised on thick legs of   33
           rounded section joined by straight stretchers
           framing three reticulated, beaded panels
           separated by vertical struts.     The form of the present table, with aprons
           90cm (35 1/2in) high x 89.5cm (35 2/8in)   inset with reticulated panels, can be found
           deep x 86.5cm (33 7/8in) wide.    in huanghuali and zitan furniture of the early
                                             to mid-Qing dynasty, and the form occurs
