The bottle is carved of chatoyant quartz (of the variety known as MID-QING DYNASTY-EARLY REPUBLIC PERIOD, 1800-1920
‘tiger’s eye’), with the original stopper of the same material. The silver body is inlaid with six alternating turquoise and coral
