A BONE AND BOXWOOD-INLAID ROSEWOOD STAND AND
TWO MARBLE-INSET HONGMU STANDS
Late Qing Dynasty
The bone-inlaid stand with shaped legs, decorated to the top with
a central roundel depicting a southern landscape, the marble inset
stands, one with square top with beaded edges, the other of lobed
circular section, both standing on cabriole legs terminating in lion-
head feet. The tallest: 72.8cm (28 5/8in) high (3).

HORSESHOE-BACK FOLDING ARMCHAIRS
Late Qing Dynasty and later
Each of typical construction with curved backrest supported by a
central back-splat carved in shallow relief with a qilin panel. The
largest: 107cm (42 1/8in) high x 64cm (25 1/8in) wide x 65cm (25
5/8in) deep (2).

A HONGMU ‘ANTIQUES’ SIDE CABINET
19th/20th century
Formed from two hat-box compartments from a pair of wardrobes,
the rectangular top above two pairs of cupboard doors each carved
in relief with a single archaistic vessel after bronze prototypes, raised
on a well-matched stand carved with scroll designs on squat cabriole
supports with mythical bird carved knees and ending in ball and claw
feet.
