Each composed of a lower section with
brass hinges, supported by four corner
legs, separated by a frontal apron carved
in shallow relief with a design of scrolling
gourds, all surmounted by a hat box
compartment on top, also with round brass
hinges and double doors.

The panelled top set within a rectangular
frame carved with continuous designs of
sinuous dragons chasing flaming pearls, the
beaded, cusped aprons carved with intricate
designs of blossoming peonies interspersed
with geometric designs, all raised on elegant
cabriole legs carved as descending Buddhist
lions grasping the curved feet. 99cm (39in)
long x 30cm (11 7/8in) high x 60cm (23
1/2in) deep.
