YAOZHOU CELADON
OCTAGONAL DISHES
NORTHERN SONG DYNASTY (960-1127)
Each dish is moulded on the interior with
a single spray of lotus. It is covered inside
and out with an olive-green celadon glaze
stopping in an irregular line revealing the
pale grey body on the countersunk base.
