and the stamens highlighted in darker accents. Around the 鈐印:
base of the tree are grown clumps of bamboos, their leaves 鳳采,壽古,香清。
meticulously drawn in thin outlines and left white, echoing
the prunus. On one side of the bowl is inscribed with two 來源:
verses from a five-character poem in running script. The Donald Bonney,倫敦,據信入藏於1976年以前
verses are arranged in alternating lines of four and one Paul Freeman,倫敦,入藏於1986年
characters, and flanked by a puce-enamelled seal on the right,
and two further puce-enamelled seals on the left. The reign 另可參考一對相似的水墨琺瑯彩碗,上書與本碗一樣的詩句,

A related pair of sepia-enamelled bowls with the same
poem, formerly from the Alfred E. Hippisley Collection,
is now in the Percival David Foundation and illustrated in
Chinese Ceramics, Highlights of the Sir Percival David Collection,
British Museum, London, 2013, pp. 164-167, PDF827 and
PDF828. The PDF bowls have straight mouth rims, and are
slightly different in painting style compared to the current
bowl.
