A FAMILLE ROSE ‘BOYS’ VASE
REPUBLIC PERIOD (1912-1949) Formerly in a Norwegian collection and acquired by the vendor
in 1998.
The vase is decorated with boys fshing, playing and tending to
rabbits in a garden setting with lotus pond. The children hold 民國 粉彩嬰戲圖瓶
various auspicious items including peach, fnger citron and
double gourd. The fared neck has a pair of chilong handles and
the base has an apocryphal Qianlong mark.
