The dish is decorated with seven lanca
characters in cartouches with foral
borders surrounded by scrolling fowers.
The reverse is decorated with further
lanca characters in three rows between
the rim and the short stand.

A SMALL BLUE AND WHITE STEM CUP
DAOGUANG SIX-CHARACTER SEAL MARK IN UNDERGLAZE
BLUE AND OF THE PERIOD (1821-1850)

The cup is decorated to the exterior with lanca characters divided
by lotus scrolls above a band of lotus lappets. The spreading foot is
painted with fower-heads above jewelled tassels and ruyi-heads,
and the interior with a stylised fower-head.
