The foliate-form top is inset with a 319
mottled marble panel of pink-tone,
supported on four cabriole legs
terminating in claw feet. The elaborate
frieze is carved with a central cartouche
enclosing three Buddhist lions, all
surrounded by foral foliage.

soapstone and mother-of-pearl
imitations to depict the Eight Immortals
on a turquoise ground, surrounded by
Nanmu. The reserve is depicted with bats
and clouds in dark red and yellow and
green.
