A RARE BANDED AGATE ‘RAM AND LINGZHI’ SNUFF BOTTLE
18th/19th century
The unusual bottle formed as a recumbent ram with its head turned
back and grasping a lingzhi spray in its mouth, the stone of a striated
beige and white hue with darker inclusions, hardstone stopper.

TWO CARVED AGATE SNUFF BOTTLES
19th century
The first grey, ochre and brown hued bottle carved with Wang Xizhi
observing the movement of two geese, the colour of the stone
cleverly incorporated into the design, stopper; the second bottle
carved with two monkeys clambering about a tree above rockwork,
stopper.
The largest: 5.8cm (2 1/4in) high (4).

A CARVED AGATE ‘HORSE AND MONKEY’ SNUFF BOTTLE
19th century
The well hollowed bottle with a concave lip and flat foot, finely carved
with a galloping horse and crouching monkey, a two-character seal
mark, carved green hardstone stopper; together with a small plain
agate bottle, stopper.
