Comprising: a biscuit famille verte figure of
a deity; a copper-red glazed snuff bottle; a
crackle-glazed foliate dish, rosewood stand;
a turquoise-glazed libation cup; a flambé-
glazed snuff bottle; a powder-blue glazed
mountain-form brush rest; a Japanese
flambé-glazed bottle vase; and a clair-de-
lune glazed ‘Eight Trigrams’ incense burner.
The largest: 26cm (10 1/4in) wide (12).

A PAIR OF LARGE BISCUIT-GLAZED
TOAD-SHAPED VESSELS
The porcelain 18th century, the pewter
fittings 19th century
Each vessel formed as a recumbent toad,
with the large head turned upwards and with
bulging eyes, the exterior embellished with
small slip-decorated bosses mimicking a
warty skin, fitted at the aperture with pewter
mounts with a crab and spider, the pad-form
lid with a toad finial, an armorial appliqué at
the chest.
Each: 28cm (11in) long (4).

Qing Dynasty
The heavily potted dish covered in a rich
purple glaze imitating the transmutation
glazes of previous dynasties, thinning at the
mouth to a mushroom tone, raised on a short
foot rim. 41.5cm (16 1/4in) diam.
