The bottle is carved with a continuous scene, one side carved in
cameo using an opaque white area to depict a money holding a no. 4620.
peach, the other side utilizing dark brown and opalescent areas 1800-1880年 瑪瑙巧雕蟠桃獻壽圖鼻煙壺
to depict a dog on a rock and a pine tree.

A BLUE AND WHITE GUYUE XUAN ZHI PORCELAIN
SNUFF BOTTLE
JINGDEZHEN KILNS, 1850-1920
The bottle is decorated with a continuous scene of a warrior holding
a lance on a copper-red horse exiting the city gate one one side in
pursuit of a man and a woman with a cart flled with water jars on
the reverse, with dragon-flled thought-clouds above their heads.
The four-character mark Guyue Xuan zhi (Ancient Moon Pavilion)
is written on top of the mouth, and a cricket is on the base.
