of rectangular form, with a removable sliding
glass panel front framed by a carved foliate
border with bats and centered shou characters,
each side with a oral openwork beaded edge
panel over an open glass panel, the back frame
enclosing a sheet of glass, the interior with two
shelves, all raised on a separate stand with
rectangular panel uprights, anked by shaped
spandrels, all raised on recessed legs joined
by shaped cloud-carved aprons with a central
drawer at the front (4)

QING DYNASTY, 19TH CENTURY
of upright square shape, folding around a central
pivot, with four removable framed panels above
a hump-back stretcher with four uprights to each
side, the radiating arms extending beyond the
framed panels with two horizontal posts tenoned
into the vertical uprights that evert at top and
bottom, the upper metal pivot mounted with
a single loop for suspension, the lower with a
pricket for a candle (2)
