NOTE:

Born in 1944, the original Japanese collector, Murata
Yoshitaka, is a Japanese politician and a member of the
China–Japan Friendship Parliamentarians’ Union. A
very close friend of Huang Zhou, he was involved in the
sale and marketing of the artist’s works in Japan and they
corresponded with each other often. Murata was at the
bedside of Huang Zhou in his final days.
