Formerly in the Sekkodo Collection, an important Japanese Collection of Qi Baishi works.

This painting was previously in the Sekkodo collection. Founded in 1963 by Saionji Kinkazu        1963
(1906-1993), he named his company after his wife, Saionji Yukie. In 1955, he served as Secretary
of the World Peace Council in Vienna, during which he visited China and was nominated as a
citizen diplomat. His family later moved to Beijing as he became a member of the Sino-Japanese
Cultural Exchange Association, meeting prominent politicians including Zhou Enlai.
