A LARGE RUSSET ‘OIL SPOT’ BLACK-GLAZED BOWL

JIN DYNASTY (1115-1234)

The bowl is covered inside and out with a lustrous blackish-brown glaze liberally splashed on the
interior with russet ‘oil spots’ that continue on the exterior where the glaze falls in an irregular line
atop a thin brown glaze, revealing the pale buff body.
