Age: 20 A. I guess I’ve always loved Singapore’s buildings so much and that’s when I started to

accountants, so, when I found out about architecture, I just had this drive to design
architectural buildings that could attract so many people from all over the world and
want these people to be as amazed as I was everytime I look at Singapore’s architecture.

Manual Drawing 5/10 Q2. Who inspires you?
A. No architects have inspired me yet, but there are studiomates who have inspired me in
terms of their skills and the way they do their work. It makes me want to work ten times
Model Making 6/10 harder so that one day I will be as good as them in producing amazing designs that not
only focus on the appearance, but also its practicality and its effect on the surrounding
environment.

Q3. Besides architecture, what else would you like to pursue?
A. Pastry chef maybe. I enjoy doing things that can make me feel lost in my own thoughts
Photoshop 6/10 and thinking of ways to decorate and customize cupcakes and cakes according to the
client’s wish.
Sketchup 6/10 Q4. What life lesson have you learnt from your first year of architecture studio?
A. The first one is not to be shy asking for help from your friends, there is no way someone
can survive this course alone. Take care of your mental health and that every progress
matters, no matter how small it is.
Q5. What message do you have for someone interested in studying architecture?
A. If you are already starting to show interest towards architecture, take plenty of time to
explore the deeper meaning of architecture. Practice and sharpen your skills cause it
would definitely make your life easier. Make sure to write small notes of why you want to
take it to constantly remind you of your passion whenever you are having a hard time
doing the course later on.
