RETREAT HOUSE

AISYAH RAZANAH
“For this assignment, we were to convert our
section drawings from the retreat house
studio project. The sections were drawn in a
Interim 2 scale of 1:100. We were given the option to
SECTION A-A Dwg checkpoint either digitise our 1:100 building section or our
SECTION A_A 1:20 detail section. I have decided to go with
the 1:100 building section as i aimed to
visualise my section in a clearer manner. To
me, i believe that the 1:100 would give a
better understanding to the relationship of
spaces with the site context once it is
rendered.
From Interim 2 to Drawing Checkpoint, there
were some changes made to my floorplan,
hence the updated sections. With experience
from the previous CAD assignment, I was a lot
more comfortable with producing the digital
lineworks. For parts with consistent spacing,
Interim 2 Dwg checkpoint the array function could be applied, another
function that came in handy was the trim
SECTION B-B
SECTION B-B which allowed me to create clean and
flushed lines.”
