It is hard to imagine a worse place to land
but in the dark using flashlights and my deck lights

this landing looked pretty good compared to a fifty foot cliff
I tried to climb in the dark after paddling and bone weary. I knew

that I should never make decisions or be paddling this late if I was this
tired and yet here I was again caused by necessity to beyond my boundaries

I had set to keep me safe and sound. The Mississippi River can do that to you.
