Camera Settings for Natural Lighting in this
Workshop
1. Use a focal length at a minimum of 35mm for a crop sensor or a 50mm for a full
frame camera, to standard to long telephotos or zoom lenses.
2. Set the camera to Aperture Priority and used the widest f/stop. This will allow in
more light and create that nice blur in the background.
3. If you are using a telephoto lens, then some of the blur will be added by the
narrow depth of field from the telephoto.
4. Your shutter speed needs to be at least 1/100 minimum. If your photos still have
blur handheld, increase your shutter speed.
5. Set the lowest ISO possible, but adjust upward if you are not at the minimum
shutter speed for sharpness.
