Metadata Formats
Within the library community, schema.org has generated strong interest
due to OCLC’s use of the language. While the library metadata community
has looked to the Library of Congress and the BIBFRAME development,
OCLC has quietly created the largest set of linked library data through the
21
generation of schema.org data within WorldCat.org.
Figure 6.10 illustrates how OCLC has integrated linked data into World-
Cat.org. Utilizing the schema.org namespaces, OCLC has been able to
