In order to put the work on a scientific basis,
we are co-operating with the ITU Eurasian
Institute of Earth Sciences. The Department of
Ecology and Evolution carries out international
studies in the field of settlement archaeology,
which is the study of ancient and medieval
settlements.
Within this framework, the Institute will advise
us on the settlement structure and geological
characteristics of Anatolia in the Middle Ages.
In return, we will undertake the scholarship of
two doctoral students.
