USING TWO FLAT SIDED SHEETS DEMONSTRATION
USING ONE FLAT SLIDE SHEET
Demonstration on next page
Fold approximately one third of the slide sheet under itself and lay on the bed cross ways
Make sure there is a gap on the edge of the bed of about 6 inch where there is only one layer of slide sheet; this is on the side of the bed that the service user will be getting in on. This is to stop service user slipping when sitting on the very edge of the bed
Make sure there is a single layer of slide sheet at the back of the service user’s legs and it is tucked back under the bed so service user does not slip on it when walking backwards
