       THE
Jade started her first business Ribbons Media, a video production company working with small businesses in 2015. In 2017 Jade wanted to expand the business so decided to try Networking. Jade absolutely loved everything that networking was and how supporting people were of one another.
Jade was asked if she wanted to run a similar group in Hampshire, not one to say no to opportunities, Jade took this on and flew with it, making lots of contacts locally and filling every meeting to it’s capacity. Due to the success of the group in 2018 Jade won the Networker of the Year Award with The Venus Awards and it gave her the boost she needed to create The Ribbons Network.
When Jade started The Ribbons Network, she knew what her long-term goal was – to have The Ribbons Network running across the UK. So she started the conversations and research so she could begin the process of licencing out her business.
In January 2019 Jade found out she was expecting her first child so her focus shifted to ensure all leads and lose ends were tied up (excuse the pun) before her due date. Fast forward to March 2020, 6 months into Motherhood, Jade was ready to fully re-submerge herself into the
JOURNEY
business world however COVID19 hit. She had to take all networking meetings online and cancel all Videography projects with Ribbons Media. Not one to miss an opportunity, Jade dedicated the time to do all the behind the scenes work to start the licencing process. Meanwhile, The Ribbons Network was attracting businesses further afield than just the Hampshire meetings.
In June Jade launched The Ribbons Network West Sussex, Dorset and Berkshire to join The Ribbons Network Hampshire, from connections she had made and strengthened throughout Lockdown. These groups continue to open, Jade has a focus with all her hosts that they get to know one another first as relationships have always been the key to her business success.
In 2021 Jade decided now was the right time to bring a bit of her personal world into her business life and launched The Ribbons Foundation, a charity with a focus on supporting children and young adults whose lives have been impacted by someone else’s addiction. Fundraising through The Ribbons Network is important for Jade and until the launch of The Ribbons Foundation, any money raised would go to nominated local or small charities.
