COMMON AIR CONDITIONING
AIR CONDITIONING IS BAD FOR THE ENVIRONMENT
IT IS MORE COST EFFECTIVE TO LEAVE AIR CONDITIONING UNITS ON ALL THE TIME
AIR CONDITIONING UNITS ARE LINKED TO LEGIONNAIRE’S DISEASE
YOU CAN CATCH A COLD FROM AIRCON UNITS
TURNING THE AIR CONDITIONING UNIT TO ITS LOWEST SETTING WILL COOL A ROOM MORE QUICKLY
FANS ARE JUST AS EFFECTIVE AS AIRCON
Modern air conditioning units are far more energy efficient than older models, or separate heating and air conditioning. In addition, filters that remove dust and other particles from the air can provide a pleasant and healthier environment.
There is no need to keep air conditioning units on when a room, office or building isn’t being used. Modern units only take a short time to get an area to the optimum temperature and therefore cost less to run.
The legionella bacteria is spread through airborne water droplets, from sources such as cooling towers, hot water tanks and spas where water is stored in conditions that allow bacteria to spread. The air conditioning systems we install don’t use water and therefore cannot transmit the bacteria that causes Legionnaire’s Disease.
Colds are spread by viruses, not cold air
This just means the area may get colder than required, using more energy and costing more money.
Fans move air around, rather than cool it. This make someone situated near a fan feel cool but it won’t cover a large area or cool the air. Many air conditioning units also provide heating for the winter.
