There is a reason why we put this
topic on the first page (other than
the contents page and definitions
pages). Being a member of a local
church is important to all believers
and especially to aspiring mission-
aries! Find a local church that
teaches the Bible and get involved
in it. Get to know the old people, the
toddlers, pull weeds, carry sound
equipment, hand out programs, be a
blessing to the church and know
what a good healthy church is be-
fore you jump into missions. You
will be so much better prepared for
not just going to the mission field,
but making a much greater impact.
Being involved in the life a local
church is essential for all followers
of Christ. It is in the church that we

of Scripture. When God called us
into a relationship with his Son
Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 1:9) he
also called us to be part of a family,
a fellowship of believers?.to be part
of a church (I Corinthians 5:2).
