355,600 used imported cars were registered in Ukraine in January-September 2021, which is 47% more than in the same period of 2020.
First time registrations of used imported cars jumped 47% through September, compared to the first nine months of last year, reports UkrAvtoProm. To date, 355,600 used imports have been registered. Thanks for lower import duties and simplified paperwork, used cars now account for 85% of all car imports.

In September 2021, Ukrainians purchased a record number of new electric cars according to ukrautoprom. 145 new and 748 used cars with battery power supplies received their first registration numbers in Ukraine. In September, a record was set for the number of new electric cars that were registered in one month. Compared to last year, the September demand for new electric cars increased two and a half times, and for cars with mileage by 18%.

January-September 2021 increased by 7.8% compared to the same
period in 2020, to 5,854 vehicles, including 12.8% of registrations accounted
for new ones, the Federation of the Automotive Industry of Ukraine has said.
According to a message on the federation’s website citing data from the
Ministry of Internal Affairs, in the third quarter, the number of registrations
(primary ones plus cars imported from abroad with customs certificates or
declarations) increased by 21.7% compared to the first quarter of this year and
by 11.7% compared to the third quarter of last year, up to 2,303 vehicles. “The
third quarter turned out to be the most successful in the entire electromobility
history of Ukraine,” the federation says.
