France’s Total has said it expects oil demand to peak in 2030, or sooner
depending on the pace of decarbonisation efforts.
Nord Stream 2 movement
The vessel expected to finish Russia’s Nord Stream 2 pipeline has left port but is
moving in the opposite direction.
EU infrastructure investments
The EU has said it will provide €1bn in grants for energy infrastructure, but
only one of the projects listed is fossil fuel-related.
Norwegian strike action
Six oil and gas fields off Norway have been shut down due to strike action by
a Norwegian trade union.
