Ukraine’s land reform would bring tangible economic growth of 0.6%-1.6% ($0.7bn-$1.5bn) annually , according to the World Bank's director for Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova Satu Kahkonen. In late 2017, Ukraine's parliament  extended the moratorium  on the sale of agricultural land until January 1, 2019, despite the high priority for the International Monetary Fund (IMF) gives to creating a land market.

At the same time, some 32% of respondents said Ukraine should neither orient itself towards the EU or the Moscow-led customs union of some post-Soviet states, specifically, authoritarian Belarus and Kazakhstan. Some 40% of those polled support Ukraine's Nato aspirations, compared to 38% against it, Interfax news agency reported on May 7.
Consumer confidence amongst Ukrainians improved in April  compared to March, according to a regular study conducted by GfK Ukraine. The Consumer Confidence Index (CCI) equals 61.3 points, which is 3.7 points higher than the indicator in the previous month. In Ukraine, the CCI is determined through a random survey of domestic households. Currently, the poll involves 1,000 individuals aged 16+. A representative sample is selected by gender and age, also by type and size of settlement. In April 2014, Ukraine's Crimea was excluded from the sample of consumer confidence research in Ukraine. The margin of error is 3.2%. The Index of Devaluation Expectations (the expectations of Ukrainians regarding the hryvnia's exchange rate in the coming three months) decreased by 2.3 points and reached the level of 147.6 points. The indicator of Index of Expectations of Changes in Unemployment (the expectations of Ukrainians regarding the possibility of unemployment) decreased by 3.5 points and equalled 130.7 points. The consumer confidence survey has been conducted by GfK in Ukraine since June 2000. From January 2009 consumer confidence survey is conducted on a monthly basis.
