Turkey’s steel exports rose slightly by 1% y/y in February to 1.3mn tonnes while revenues from exports grew 22% y/y to $826mn.
The country imported 13mn tonnes of steel, up 20% y/y. The import bill increased by 41% y/y to $874mn.
Turkey retained its position as the world’s seventh largest steel producer.
UKOG Turkey and Aladdin Middle East have been granted formal consent by Turkey’s energy and natural resources ministry to drill the Basur-3 appraisal well on the Resan licence.
