State Enterprise Guaranteed Buyer sold electricity generated from renewable energy sources worth UAH483mn, which was put up for sale at an auction on September 6. "Guaranteed Buyer sold 246.5 thousand MWh of electricity generated from renewable sources with supply in October 2021. The competition among bidder raised the price of one of the products by almost 34%. As a result, the auction brought Guaranteed Buyer more than UAH483mn,” reads the report posted on the enterprise’s website. As reported, at auctions in January-June 2021, SE Guaranteed Buyer sold 2.1 GWh of electricity generated from renewable energy sources.
Producers of Renewable Energy have received UAH 80 billion ($3 bln) in "green" tariffs. The payments made by the state enterprise "Guaranteed Buyer" to Renewable Energy producers have exceeded UAH 80 billion ($3 bln). At the same time, the share of "clean" generation in Ukraine's energy balance has more than doubled in two years - from 3.7% in 2019 to 9% in 2021, the company said.
Chinese wind turbines will be part of two wind farm projects in Ukraine)
The Chinese manufacturer of wind turbines, Xinjiang Goldwind Technology Co Ltd, has signed contracts for the supply of wind turbines for two projects in Ukraine with a total capacity of 625.5 MW – Zophia wind farm with a capacity of 337.5 MW and Ochakiv (Yuzhnoukrainsk wind farm) with a capacity of 288 MW. "Two projects include 75 wind turbines on the GW155 platform with a capacity of 4.5 MW and 60 turbines with a capacity of 4.8 MW," the company said on its website.
