5.1  External sector overview
Ukraine's the current account deficit widened to $415mn in January-May
vs $308mn during the same period last year, according to the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU).
Imports of goods grew by 14.3% y/y in January-May to reach $21.1bn
In May alone, exports of goods amounted to $3.6bn that is 13.2% year-on-year higher. "Favourable external prices supported the growth in exports, however, it slowed down due to the depletion of carry-over stocks of grain and oil crops,"
